Week 1 | Days 5-7

I’m sorry that I’m so behind in this post this week. I was really hoping that I would be able to get it done on Sunday, but that just did not happen.

I am happy to say that I stuck to my goal of taking the stairs. To be honest, it was tough to break the habit of moving towards the elevator, but taking the stairs was not as difficult as I thought it would be. Eating breakfast happened. I did end up getting Dunkin one day, but one day is not the be all and end all. I also brought my lunch every day, which was great. I definitely find that packing my breakfast and lunch the night before is extremely helpful in making sure I stay on track. If I don’t pack the night before, I am way less likely to bring lunch with me.

Albert made a suggestion this week that I might want to bring our keurig and mini fridge to my office so that I can keep things like yogurt and coffee at work. I told him no because we have a keurig at the office anyways. The more I think about it though, the more I think it might be a good idea. One of the things I will be doing in the near future is a deep clean of the office. I have a ton of boxes that can be broken down, and we really don’t need to have anymore. Once my office is clean, I think that I might be willing to have things like a keurig and minifridge. I do want my office to be warm and inviting, and right now it is overwhelming. But all this is totally off topic

Goal 3 was to wear my fitbit. I am happy to say that I did do that. This week I averaged 4, 234 steps. I definitely walk more when I’m at work-I am actually slightly surprised that I have so many steps. I thought the number would be closer to 2,500 to be honest. So now I have a benchmark to go from in terms of steps. In regards to sleep, I am having more of an issue. My fitbit does NOT want to track my sleep. It seems to think that I am not sleeping for most of the night. The longest stretch it tracked was 3h 6 min, but most days it was tracking an hour if that. I’ve tried updating the app, restarting the watch, syncing before bed, syncing right when I wake up-but nothing. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I do have an Inspire 2, which is a number of years old at this point. My husband doesn’t really see a point in me buying a smart watch, so I think that I’m stuck with this for a while.

Maybe the sleep tracking doesn’t really matter? I don’t know-What I do know is that I would like to have it. Do any of you have a fitness tracker OR smartwatch that you would recommend?
