Week 1 | Days 3 & 4

Thinking about it, I am definitely not going to be breaking up the week like this in the future. I think that there is not enough going on to be able to create meaningful content every single week-at least for now until I add going to the gym to my routine. Maybe then I will post on gym days. Who knows? What do you all think?

I say you all as if people are actually reading this-if you are, please like, comment, follow, all of the things. It shows me that this is a worthwhile endeavor and that people are actually interested in this process.

Anyways-to the topic at hand:

Tuesday was a fine day. I was pretty good on my diet. My breakfast and lunch were right on track, but I was exhausted and did not want to cook so we went to the diner for dinner. I had water, some mozzarella sticks (I think 3 of them), half of a turkey avocado and bacon panini and some onion rings. I am really proud of myself for stopping when I was full and not trying to finish that second half of panini or onion rings. The plan was to eat the left overs for lunch today, but they never made it into the fridge.

I went to bed SUPER early Tuesday night. I had to be at work stupid early. I actually slept really well, but I still woke up tired. I am wearing my Fitbit, but it is not registering my sleep for some reason. I think that it might be because my phone goes on do not disturb. Wednesday morning I added my Fitbit to the app that can run during that period of time. We will see tonight if it tracks. If not, I will have to reach out to Fitbit.

Wednesday, I spent 95% of my working day sitting. I did a 8 hour training. It’s times like these that I wish I had a portable elliptical or treadmill. I know that they exist and that I can buy one, but they are super expensive. Maybe I’ll ask for one for Christmas. That reminds me that Albert’s cousin discussed with me that they make treadmills, ellipticals, and stair steppers that do not require power. I should look and see if I can find those so I can put them in the garage gym that Albert and I are building.

Because I spent most of the day sitting, and I had no need to take the stairs at all, I tried to make sure that I really stayed on top of my hydration. By 11am I had drank 68 oz. It’s easier to remember to drink water when I’m sitting at my desk. I think it’s because I see other people drinking so it reminds me to drink as well.

As for exercise since I really did next to none during the day, after work rather than going directly to pick up the baby, I went home for a little bit and got some housework done. This allowed for me to get some movement in while also getting things done around the house. With Albert being in the ER on Sunday and my general exhaustion, the house has gotten a little bit out of control. My Fitbit for some reason thought I was swimming for a while while I was putting away dishes and folding clothes-but I’ll take it.

I also hoped to take the time to get some actual exercise in. As I mentioned earlier, Albert and I are setting up a mini gym in the garage. Right now we have a boxing bag, a bench, a TRX knockoff (not set up yet), and a small hand-full of dumbbells (I definitely want to get more). Maybe once I get everything set up I’ll do a “tour” post. Sadly, by the time I finished my chores around the house I just didn’t have time to actually work out since I had to pick up the baby from daycare and wanted to have dinner ready by the time Albert got home from work.

I know for a fact that incorporating more focused exercise into my routine is going to be extremely tough. I am the kind of person that LOVES my sleep, and never seem to get enough of it. But based on my work schedule and Albert’s work schedule, we are going to need to come up with a solution so that I can get time.

Like I said at the beginning, if you like this type of post, please like, follow, etc. so that I know to keep doing this type of content! I’ll see you in a few days for days 5 -7 (Thursday-Saturday).
